New Volunteer Opportunity Available!

Location: ACCA’s Center for Active Living, CAL Plus+ Program, 135 Hoyt Street, Athens, GA 30601

Program Description: The CAL Plus+ Program offers an exciting range of social, recreational, and health-related classes and activities for members age 60+ that inspire health, lifelong learning, and an active, independent lifestyle. Arts and Crafts is one of our most popular classes at the Center.

Responsibilities: We are looking for an instructor to lead the Arts and Crafts program every Thursday from 10:30-11:30am. He/she will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects, purchasing supplies (to be reimbursed), and dreaming up ideas that encourage creative expression, learning new things, and improved mental and manual dexterity.

Requirements: We ask for a minimum commitment of 3-6 months. The ideal candidate is able to work independently and with a variety of mediums to create fun, diverse projects that are suited for beginners and intermediate crafters. Volunteers with a background in art and/or crafting and experience working with larger groups is preferred but not required.

Time Commitment: Thursdays from 10.30-11.30am

Training Required: No formal training required.
