Project 12

What is project 12?  Project 12 is a fundraising and awareness campaign from the Athens Community Council on Aging (ACCA).  ACCA has invited 12 start up individuals and asking them to each give $12.  In turn, they will ask 12 individuals to give $12 and those 12 will ask 12 and so on and so on.  The end result is to not only build awareness of the services provided by the agency, but also to raise money for the non-profit.

What is the goal of project 12? The goal is to raise $20,736 by December 12, 2012.  The agency will hit this goal by inviting 1728 individuals to each give $12 to become involved in this project to make a substantial impact in the agency’s services for the local community.

How do we let 12 people know about project 12? The easiest way is email.  Ask 12 people to visit this page or forward your email to 12 people and ask them to participate.   ACCA will keep a track of the domino effect so after December 12, 2012, you can see how far your ask of 12 people reached and how much money has been attributed to the agency because of your initial $12 gift.

What do I get for my $12 donation? You will receive a tax receipt for your 2012 tax return and you are helping support ACCA’s mission of promoting a promote a lifetime of wellness through engagement, advocacy, education and support.
