ACCA Services and Programs
...with medical monitoring, social services and therapeutic activities, is an alternative to nursing home placement for frail older adults, adults with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, and adults with disabilities. ACCA operates four Adult Day Service programs located in Athens, Winder, Elberton and Monroe which serve the residents of NE Georgia.
Winder Day Care
...provides a noon lunch, education, health, and recreation activities in the center as well as outreach, visitation, and telephone reassurance to homebound older adults.
...(Meals on Wheels) provides hot noon meals and frozen or shelf stable meals, delivered by volunteers weekdays to homebound and disabled adults in Clarke and Barrow Counties.

…provides door-to-door services to ACCA programs and other medical, social services, and shopping trips in Clarke County.
ACCA Main Campus
...Is a volunteer program for individuals age 60 and above. As a volunteer you will be a member of a national network of service – Senior Corps, which is a sector of the Corporation for National and Community Service in Washington, DC. Eligible individuals can receive a federal stipend to defray their cost to volunteer.
...offers presentations throughout Northeast Georgia on health insurance coverage and issues. Health insurance counseling and referral services are provided to any older person needing information or help with insurance problems and selection of coverage.
Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
...advocates for the rights of nursing home and personal care home residents throughout Northeast Georgia, provides education about regulations, investigates and resolves complaints.
Retired & Senior Volunteer Program
...provides opportunities for older Northeast Georgians to contribute lifetime experience to numerous non-profit and government agencies.
ACCA Main Lobby
…matches senior volunteers in Northeast Georgia with frail elders and persons with disabilities so that they receive companion care and support.
Kinship/Project Healthy Grandparents
...provides support and case management for grandparents who are primary caregivers for their grandchildren, and includes social work, nursing, and legal assistance. The program serves Clarke, Barrow, Oconee, Jackson, Madison, and Walton counties.
Senior Community Service Employment Program
...enables older persons to re-enter the work force through part-time work and training placements throughout Northeast Georgia.
