IT’S THE DANCE PARTY OF THE YEAR!!
You know you want to. Let’s do it all again!
Let’s go to back again to our totally rad, totally awesome PROM!
Whether you graduated high school in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s or even beyond the millennium, the music of the South’s greatest dance band, ELECTRIC AVENUE will have those feet tappin’ and the body swayin’ to the tunes and memories!
The retroProm is our largest fundraising event of the year. All revenues that we make from the Prom benefit so many local older adults in the areas of health and wellness, meals and caregiver support. On a daily basis, seniors deal with social isolation, hunger, lack of employment opportunities and skills, access to good healthcare, and dependable transportation to doctor appointments, grocery store or pharmacy. ACCA offers 14 programs and services to support these issues for seniors and their caregivers.
The event will take place on Friday, May 3, 2019, at The Foundry.
Sign up to be on the retroProm Court today! Fill out the form below and return to Victoria Chitko, email@example.com or 135 Hoyt Street Athens, GA 30601.
March for Meals 5K
Each year, the entire month of March is designated as March for Meals! Sponsored nationally by Meals on Wheels America and locally by Athens Community Council on Aging, the month is celebrated with a variety of opportunities to learn more about and experience the efforts at filling the plates of the older adults within our own community who are home-bound or without the resources to prepare a healthy meal for themselves.
For the 9th year in a row, the Athens Community Council on Aging is hosting the March for Meals 5K on March 23, 2019. Runners and walkers are all welcome to enjoy the scenic course through some of Athens’ most beautiful streets in early Spring!
