Understanding Dementia: A Community Conversation
Join ACCA’s Dementia Resource Center and the University of Georgia CARE Center for Understanding Dementia: A Community Conversation on Wednesday, September 30 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at Jackson EMC in Jefferson. Hear from featured speaker Stephen Correia, PhD, Director of the Institute of Gerontology at UGA’s College of Public Health, connect with dementia and caregiver resources, and share your input to help shape future programming and support for families in Jackson County. This event is free, lunch is included, and registration is required.

Scam Jam is a one-day event designed to help you ans your loved ones recognize scams, protect your personal and financial information, and stay one step ahead of fraud. Join local experts for practical tips on today’s most common scams, including AI and deepfakes, financial fraud, identity protection, and more.
retroProm
retroProm is one of ACCA’s largest annual fundraisers in Athens, Georgia, happening the first Friday in May each year. This themed evening brings together community members of all ages for music, celebration, and friendly competition, all in support of local aging services.
