How to Grow a Garden on Asphalt?

ACCA’s demonstration garden has really brought some beauty to the vacant parking lot on the south side of the agency’s campus.  Starting on MLK’s Day of Service back in January, the garden has grown to be a beautiful project and asset to the community. and the agency.

Partnered with the Athens Land Trust and the University of Georgia’s College of Horticulture, ACCA’s Demonstration Garden will be used for teaching garden classes as well as a resource for client’s to have fresh fruits and vegetables.  Thanks so much to Stephanie Bergamo, Athens Land Trust, and L.E.A.D. Athens for all of their hard work on this project as well as the help of many, many volunteers.
