Thank you for your interest in helping ACCA further our mission through volunteering. Last year alone our volunteers served over 18,000 hours, or the equivalent of an additional 8.5 full time employees. We simply could not do what we do without our volunteers.

It is important to us that your volunteer experience is meaningful, and we are here to help you find an opportunity that matches your passion and your busy schedule. We have regular volunteer opportunities as well as special events and work days, and we are happy to talk with you about these and any new service ideas you may have. Please call our Volunteer Coordinator at (706) 549-4850, or click the “I Want to Volunteer” button below.

At this time, our top volunteer needs are:

  • Meals on Wheels volunteers to deliver meals in Barrow County
  • Foster Grandparent Volunteers to serve elementary students across NE Georgia
  • An Arts and Crafts Instructor on Thursday mornings in our Center for Active Living
  • A Yoga Instructor on Tuesday afternoons in our Center for Active Living
  • Volunteers across eastern Georgia to visit and advocate for residents of nursing homes through our Long-Term Care Ombudsman program.
  • Take-out Tuesday volunteers to deliver meals in the Athens Area.
