Athens Community Council on Aging

retroProm 2026 is Here!

Grab your tickets and dust off your jelly sandals for retroProm 2026 — Athens’ Premier Party with a Purpose!

This is not just another night out. It’s big energy. Great music. Unforgettable memories. A packed dance floor. And underneath the sequins and throwback hits? Something even bigger.

On May 1, 2026, the Athens Cotton Press will transform into the ultimate retro celebration as we gather to dance, laugh, and raise critical funds for the Athens Community Council on Aging (ACCA).

Because at ACCA, we believe aging isn’t about stepping back — it’s about stepping in.

Into community.
Into joy.
Onto the dance floor.

Every ticket purchased and every vote cast helps ensure older neighbors in our community can age well, stay connected, and feel supported through programs like Meals on Wheels, transportation services, wellness programs, and opportunities for meaningful social connection.

Same dance floor. New memories.

Meet Our 2026 retroProm Court

No retroProm would be complete without an incredible Court!

Each year, standout community members are named to the retroProm Court and step into one of Athens’ most meaningful — and dare we say, most fun — fundraising roles. They rally their people, spread the word, and raise funds to support ACCA’s mission, all while gearing up for the most unforgettable night of the year.

Prom King and Queen will be crowned based on fundraising totals, and this year we’ll also recognize Mr. or Ms. Congeniality, honoring a Court member whose leadership, creativity, and community spirit truly shine.

Who will take home the crowns in 2026? That’s up to you.

ACCA’s 2026 Prom Court:

Troy Aubrey

Troy Aubrey is the founder of Aubrey Entertainment and a longtime leader in Athens’ music scene. A lifelong music enthusiast and promoter, he has spent decades bringing people together through live music and shared experiences that shape the culture of the community.

Her passion for supporting older adults is deeply personal, shaped by the close relationship she had with her grandmother, who lived to be 94 and remained vibrant and full of life even after a dementia diagnosis. A lifelong dancer who never leaves the dance floor early, Grace is proud to honor that legacy while raising support for older adults in our community.

retroProm is about the experience. It’s about dressing up, dancing big, and reliving the magic. But it’s also about proving something powerful:

Joy doesn’t have an expiration date.
Community doesn’t have an age limit.
