Senior Companion Program

The Senior Companion Program matches volunteers, age 55 and up, with older adults and individuals with disabilities that may need assistance with daily tasks, and will benefit from regular visits. Senior Companion volunteers serve 5 to 20 hours each week in in private homes, independent living communities, and adult day centers. Volunteers help their clients with light chores and errands, and may also provide respite to family caregivers.

This program provides a unique opportunity for older adults with lower incomes, as volunteers are able to earn a small hourly stipend, and are reimbursed some meal and mileage costs.
