WELCOME!
At ACCA, volunteers are the motor behind everything we do. Every year ACCA volunteers deliver meals to over 10,000 members of the Athens community, counsel 90+ people on Medicaid enrollment, and provide classes to over 80 older adults in our community. No matter what you bring to the table, there is a volunteer opportunity for YOU! Below are the volunteer opportunities that are most needed at the moment, if you are interested in volunteering or having any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We have both group and individual volunteer opportunities, if you are a group looking to volunteer please email Ezra, our Volunteer Coordinator at eschley@accaging.org. Due to required background checks and training/onboarding most volunteer roles are designed to be on an ongoing/regular basis. However, we do have a few volunteer opportunities that are a good fit for a one time volunteer experience or fit well in a tight schedule. We would love to have you join us in supporting older adults in Athens, whatever your capacity may be.
“Do it. However, you can. It’ll make you smile and a smile makes a difference in your life, in someone else’s life, and it can even make an impact on your community.”
– Debbie, Meals on Wheels Volunteer
