Athens Eats Together
ACCA led the Athens Eats Together program with dedicated partners, staff and volunteers through funding from the Athens-Clarke County Government. Between September 2020 – April 2021, over 9,000 residents received over 325,000 meals through the program. We will forever be grateful that we could provide such a service during a critical time with COVID-19.
We recognize the need for food is still great in our community. Access to food is still available through other organizations in Athens-Clarke County including the following:
- The Community Food Resources page lists the dates for upcoming meal distributions in Athens-Clarke County.
- The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia holds weekly mobile food pantries throughout 14 counties within northeast Georgia. Visit their website for a listing of locations and times.
- United Way’s 2-1-1 connects individuals and families to critical community services including resources for food. This service is available at no charge, is confidential and you can speak with someone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and in over 140 different languages.
