July Caregiver Support Groups for Athens and Winder

Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias? Join Athens Community Council on Aging (ACCA) in either Winder at Winder Adult Day Health at 63 Lee Street or Bentley Adult Day Health in Athens at 135 Hoyt Street for the next caregiver luncheon.

The support group meets every month for lunch and networking.  The next meeting in Athnes will be Tuesday, July 15 at 12:00 noon and the next meeting in Winder will be Friday, July 25 at 12:00 noon.   Winder is excited to host speaker Dennise Grayson, an attorney concentrating on elder law & special needs trusts.   Please bring any questions, concerns, or issues you are having at home and we can discuss possible solutions and strategies.

These programs provide an opportunity for individuals caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementias to fellowship with other caregivers, participate in educational programs, have questions answered about your loved one’s care, and gain knowledge from health care professionals.
