Congratulations June Mazur

June Mazur was crowned the 2014 Ms. Senior Athens yesterday afternoon at the Athens Country Club during the 4th annual Ms. Senior Athens event.  The day was filled with laughter, smiles, and inspiration from the 8 ladies nominated for the title.  The day was kicked off with a silent auction and the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice winner by donating $1/vote towards the Athens Community Council on Aging.  Liz Dalton hosted the event and welcomed each nominee on stage to introduce themselves.  Members of the Green Flag Band played some Celtic music during intermission and then each nominee was asked an on-stage question.  Fay Davis, the 2013 Ms. Senior Athens gave her farewell address and was joined by Marie Norris, 2012 Ms. Senior Athens and the Annette Barfield, the 2011 Ms. Senior Athens to present the awards.  The People’s Choice award was presented to Fay Miller in addition to the 2nd Runner Up.  First Runner Up was Carla Harp and the 2014 Ms. Senior Athens is June Mazur.
