National Service Recognition Day

: Athens Clarke County Mayor Nancy Denson with Senior Corps Volunteers and Staff. Senior Corps Volunteers from Athens Community Council on Aging provide over 85,000 hours of service in Athens and surrounding counties.

Athens Clarke County Mayor Nancy Denson with SeniorCorps volunteers and AmeriCorps members. More than 105 national service participants of all ages serve in Athens and through the University of Georgia. Yesterday, Mayor Denson recognized April 6 as National Service Recognition Day with a proclamation.
