Thank You Athens!! Be A Santa to A Senior Success

This morning the participants in the Athens Community Council on Aging’s Foster Grandparent program received their gifts from the Be A Santa to A Senior Program.  This lady said, “I am 80 years old and I’ve never had a Christmas stocking but I’ve always wanted one.  And the one I got was FULL of presents!  God is good and bless you all.”  Athens, we can’t thank you enough for making this season special for over 700 older adults.  This is just one of their stories and there are many, many more. The Foster Grandparent program at ACCA makes a lasting difference in the lives of at-risk children and youth. Our Foster Grandparent Program provides opportunities for volunteers 55 and over to mentor, support, and help some of the most vulnerable children in the United States.
