ACCA starting off 2019 on the right foot!
ACCA has started 2019 off on the right foot! We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected for Creature Comforts 2019 Get Comfortable campaign. The support that we receive from Creature Comforts is so incredibly impactful for our agency and the Meals on Wheels program. We are honored to be chosen again this year!
Last year, the Get Comfortable campaign raised more than $290,000 to support 5 area non-profit’s work in hunger, homelessness and poverty. The funding ACCA received in 2018 will allow us to deliver an additional 7,000 Meals on Wheels to home-bound older adults in our community.
Each year, ACCA serves over 68,000 daily delivered meals to more than 200 older adults and adults with disabilities in Clarke and Barrow Counties. A dedicated group of more than 200 volunteers deliver not only nutritious meals but a friendly visit, safety check and a continued connection to the community… making it much more than a meal!
