ACCA to Host 3rd Annual Holiday Tea

The Athens Community Council on Aging (ACCA) will host its 3rd annual Holiday Afternoon Tea in celebration of the winter holiday season.  Tea will be served at the historic train depot at 135 Hoyt St. on Sunday, December 11, 2011.

This festive afternoon event is modeled on the same tasteful style found in luxurious hotels and establishments around the globe. Tea, sandwiches and desserts will be served, and Santa Claus will make a special appearance. The Athens Choral Society will provide beautiful seasonal music. All ages are encouraged and invited to attend to start a holiday tradition with your family.

“It was fun watching grandparents, parents and children (with dolls in tow) enjoy an afternoon in such a festive fashion. We look forward to bringing more people down to the station for a little holiday cheer,” said Jennie Deese, President and CEO of ACCA.

Tickets are $15 for children and $20 for adults and are available for purchase at ACCA headquarters or by contacting KaDee Holt at 706-549-4850 or kholt@accaging.org.
