It’s National Employ Older Workers Week!

It’s National Employ Older Workers Week and boy are we celebrating here at ACCA! Through our Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), ACCA provides on-the-job skills training to individuals 55 or older with limited financial resources. A workforce development program, ACCA’s SCSEP provides opportunities and assistance to older adults in the Northeast Georgia area with develop and increasing marketable job-seeking skills, educational opportunities, and assistance in obtaining employment through job training services.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, “National Employ Older Workers Week, held annually the last full week of September, recognizes the vital role of older workers in the workforce. National Employ Older Workers Week aims to increase awareness of this labor segment and develop innovative strategies to tap it.” And, today, we are doing just that by celebrating ACCA’s SCSEP program!
