It’s National Intern Day!
What a treasure it has been to have Jack, Katy and Cameron intern with ACCA this summer. From delivering meals, implementing virtual support groups and providing a lifeline and reassuring voice to our clients, these three have been a bright addition to our daily operations. Check out what their supervisors had to say about their time with us.
“We are so thankful to have Jack as part of Meals on Wheels this summer. In addition to helping with daily program operations and delivering meals, Jack has also been making client safety check calls. Thanks to his genuine, caring nature, he has quickly built a wonderful rapport with many clients who enjoy talking with him by the phone.”
“Katy is a true team player and jumped into her role with enthusiasm and positivity – we love how she adapted so easily under unique circumstances! Katy has such a warm and friendly personality and genuine caring for older adults that shine through in every interaction. She has been instrumental to our mission by providing a lifeline and reassuring voice to our Center for Active Living clients during her weekly wellness calls. Katy has also assisted with our annual client surveys and reassessments, created activity packets, led our virtual “Social Hour” calls and continues to help us dream up new ways to engage our members. We wish she could stay with us longer!”
“Cameron has been unbelievably helpful with Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) this summer and brings her enthusiasm into everything she does! Cameron has been instrumental in making regular check-in calls to clients so that GRG stays on top of client needs. She has also helped GRG stay up-to-date with the ever growing information and resources available to kinship families. Cameron has also been a part of implementing GRG’s first ever virtual support groups and parent education workshops to help families get connected and discuss the challenges and successes of parenting during this time. We are so thankful to have Cameron as part of the GRG team!”
